About Us
Building a better future, one girl child at a time.

At Basera, we understand the importance of positive role models in a child’s development. Which is why we have developed a system where groups of girls are placed in family units under the care of ‘Mothers’ – destitute women seeking shelter at Basera. These women are provided a safe haven at Basera, as well as the dignity of being self-reliant and making a positive contribution to the community. They are provided adequate training and counselling necessary to nurture the girls under their care as well as to take care of their own well being.
Family Units at Basera
Each unit comprises of a family head, respectfully addressed as Mother, and girls of mixed age groups. Full time educational counselor and teachers are available to support the girls’ learning. In – house learning facilities include a well- stocked library, a reading room and a computer room.
To ensure the girls’ physical wellbeing, we have a team of part-time and on-call health practitioners, a dentist and a psychologist in our team. There is ample outdoor space with a sprawling playground, gardens and an organic farm. We also have a spacious auditorium for cultural programs and group activities.
The safety and security of these girls is our top priority. We have 24- hour security personnel in the village, along with campus–wide CCTV surveillance.
